The impressive moated castle Diepholz Castle is one of the most beautiful structures in the area. The defiant building at Müntepark has probably been standing in the middle of today's city of Diepholz since the 12th century. In the castle tower there is the "Museum in the castle tower", which can be visited. On the 1st Saturday evening of the month from April to October it is also possible to climb the castle tower.
