A great rock, but currently closed due to the peregrine breeding season. The watch over the locked rock has begun. The first trailers near the rocks are being used by bird conservationists, who will be there around the clock until the young birds fly out. Blocking begins in mid-March and ends after the hatching and fledgling of the juveniles in late June.

I postponed the tour to August to avoid the rock closure due to the breeding season :-)
The Buchholzfels is a really massive rock with a great view of Trifels, Anebos and Münz and the Luger Valley. A visit in the afternoon or evening is recommended for good visibility and light for photos to the east.
With the heat announced today, I still preferred an early lap ;-)
I also really liked the massive and towering north side with the crevice for the falcon's nest that cannot be overlooked.
