About Pmbvw

First tour after our hiking vacation back in the Palatinate.
From the parking lot in the Wellbachtal it went up the entire Eiderbachtal. For me it is the second most beautiful valley with a stream after the Karlstal.
The second point of the hike was the Eiderberg. Here you have a nice overview to the southwest including the Annweiler Forsthaus, new name Schwarzer Fuchs.
We went back to the starting point via the closed bar. The direct path to the parking lot in the Wellbachtal across the steep slope was great with lots of boulders to the right and left of the path.April 9, 2021

As a farewell repetition only to the parking lot. But also from here you have a great cliff sea view

Today I wanted to visit the Parque Cultural La Zarza, which is closed on Mondays, with the old stone drawings. It was an interesting tour.

Today we wanted to do another crater rim hike between Pico de la Cruz and Pico de la Nieve.
Drive off and a huge wall of clouds in front of the tunnel. Then high clouds over Santa Cruz. Then about 20 km and what feels like 500 serpentines up the mountain. At first it took forever to reach the lower edge of the cloud. After that the visibility in the clouds got worse and worse 😟 We got closer and closer to the starting point of the hike. But unfortunately still in the clouds 😟
So on to the summit and there it was warm, windless and cloudless. So we enjoyed the cloud game here 😀😀😀PS: The pictures are typical for Komoot when they are added afterwards completely messed up 😟March 22, 2021

Today's short hike starts at the Cumbrecita parking lot.
From my memory it is the only parking lot on the island that you have to reserve in advance.
In contrast to the last few days, the crater peaks were not visible today.
But the caldera and the clouds in interaction had something!
I originally wanted to do two more tours from the Cumbrecita but unfortunately both are closed for security reasons 😱🤮😱March 21, 2021

A dream!
Along the crater rim of the Roque de Muchachos.
Blue sky and deep insights into the caldera with wispy clouds, again and again from new perspectives, ubs accompanied us the whole way.
Only the wind and the temperature were rather uncomfortable.March 20, 2021

Today was the well-known top tour through the laurel forest.
But for me it is not one of the highlights of the island. There is something nicer.
From the information booth it goes up the Barranco.
The first 1.1 kilometers it is a tar road, then it flows into a stony path for 1.5 km, before it flows into the really great and interesting Cubo de la Galga from kilometer 2.6.
This is a narrow path that winds through an aquaduct, rocks and huge ferns (up to 3 meters high). Part of the path is guarded along the edge of the deep, partly only 2-3 meters wide gorge.Unfortunately, this premium part is over after about one kilometer. Now comes another wide forest path, which approaches the mirador with a view of the sea at the same height.
The Mirador is so oversized that it makes you dizzy, how many
EU funds were wasted here.
Similar to the 400 meter long quay wall and the expansion of the port in the amount of 35 million for the mooring of cruise ships.
OilNot even 10 have invested in the 20 years 😂😱😂
Now there is another Komoot highlight, the ravine and an ascending cross path, which joins the way there just behind the beautiful aqueduct. Then it goes the 2.6 km the entry way back to the parking lot.March 19, 2021

A surprisingly beautiful place. Just us in a large parking lot.
We found a large currently closed sea swimming pool and an excellent place to listen to and watch the high waves 😀👍😀March 18, 2021
