The agricultural land on our hiking trail will eventually be excavated and deepened for clay extraction.
Wienerberger has a lease here for the next 60 years. Outside this current extraction zone, two reserve areas have already been colored in for clay extraction. 240,000 tons of clay are extracted annually from the current clay pit.
The finished brick product can be used to build approximately 7,000 houses each year.
