Today's hike goes first towards Verlautenheide and then into the Würselener forest. Now it continues through Saubachtal-Lehmsiefen. It continues to Stolberg-Atsch where I take a little break and drink my latte macchiato (must be).
The weather is very pleasant and I continue towards Münsterbusch through the nature reserve along the Inde. I leave the nature reserve in the direction of the Buschmühle cemetery where I pass England via the Sebastianusweg (I didn't know before that there was "England" in Eilendorf).
I leave Sebastianusweg and continue on Schiltgasse to Eilendorf.
Nice tour across the hall and through beautiful forest.
Wish everyone a nice afternoon 🚶‍♂️🙋‍♂️🙂

Today's mountain bike tour goes towards Lammersdorf. I drive on the Vennbahn route towards Brand, Kornelimünster, Walheim and Roetgen and then enjoy my latte macchiato in Lammersdorf.
I drive back over Raffelsbrand and down Jägerhausstrasse to Zweifall. If in doubt, drive via Vicht to Stolberg. My tour continues via Stolberg-Atsch through the Würselener forest, Verlautenheide back to Eilendorf.
There is not much going on on the Vennbahn during the week, so watch out at the weekend!
Have a nice evening and a good week 😉🙋‍♂️

Today we had a group walk with the hiking group "Hiking in the Euregio".
We started at 10 a.m. with 12 people from the parking lot in Gulpen. The average age of the group had dropped considerably; Torsten had brought his daughter Liel with them. We immediately climbed firmly onto the Gulpener Berg and turned into the beautiful hilly landscape after the campsite. In addition to beautiful horses, Verloren Kost also had some great Lakenvelder cattle with this characteristic white band. We went through a cool piece of forest, then along the golf courses and across a large meadow to Hoeve Landsrade. From there the route led through beautiful valleys, hills and forest with very old trees to Slenaken. We were halfway now, so it was time for a break with coffee and cake in the De Boswachter restaurant.
From Slenaken we went along the peaceful, babbling Gulp brook through meadows, forest, farms and quiet country lanes with a breathtaking view, to the imposing Neubourg Castle. This is being restored, but there is still a lot to do.
From there it is still a short distance to Gulpen. There 5 people traveled home, while the other 7 enjoyed a delicious meal in the Greek restaurant Athene in Gulpen.
Rain had been predicted, but it remained dry and mostly sunny throughout the walk. A brief shower of rain fell during the meal. So excellent planning.I would like to thank all participants for their participation and the good atmosphere during the walk. It was another good day activity! 👍😊🙋‍♂️

Today's tour was preceded by an invitation from Rimo. Rimo, thank you very much!
The group consists of 12 hikers.
The tour starts in the middle of Gulpen towards Bergem and the holiday park on the Gulpener Berg. We continue through the Wagelerbosch and past a golf course. We go past Landrade and through Groote Bosch. Now it continues towards Slenaken where the group is made a coffee break. From Slenaken it goes along the Gulp to Pesaken. Now our hike goes back to Vaals via meadows.
Also on this tour I met new nice Komoot hikers.
Even with 350 vertical meters, the tour is easy to hike.
Wish everyone a nice Sunday evening😉🙋‍♂️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Today hikes first go towards the Brander forest and the Münsterbusch.
At Buschmühle it goes along the Inde to Stolberg-Atsch. From here it continues on Steinbachstraße through the Saubachtal-Lehmsiefen in the northern area, cross the Saubach and continue to the Steinbachshochwald restaurant.
I drink my obligatory latte macchiato. There are very delicious cakes (large pieces) here.
After my break, I continue through the Würselener forest, past the Verlautenheide and then go back home via Nirm.
      Nice easy varied hike.
Wish everyone a nice evening 🚶‍♂️😉🙋‍♂️

Today I hiked again with my Eilendorfer hiking group after more than 4 months. When the weather was nice, we started from the Eilendorfer Markt. The group goes up to the Prunkweg and looks at the Aachen basin from the vantage point. From the viewpoint you can look over Aachen to the border triangle, Lousberg. We continue to Verlautenheide. We cross the A544 via Heider-Hof-Weg.
Now it goes to the Haarberg, at the Haarener Kreuz we take a break. Now it continues past the old Jewish cemetery. We go down to the Haarenr Gracht, under the A544, through the industrial area and past the new Jewish cemetery and the Hüls cemetery. The tour goes along the newly designed Haarbach towards Nirm. In Nirm we go through the underpass of the Aachen-Cologne railway line.
Now I say goodbye and wish everyone a nice Sunday.
      Until next time.

This tour starts at Brussels-Central train station.
I walk through the Kunstberg (small park) towards Königsplatz (Place Royalle) past the royal palace and the Akademie Palast. Continue via Place Du Trone (Throne Square) towards Place Du Luxembourg to the European Parlement. A visit to the parliament is highly recommended (free entry) and a visit to the plenary hall and the House of European History. Now it goes through the Leopold Park towards Jubelpark. In the park there is the military museum and a classic car museum (Autoworld), also an art and history museum can be visited there. After visiting the Autoworld Museum, you will return through the jubilee park towards Robert Schuman Platz past the European Commission (Berlaymont) building. Continue on Rue De La Loi and through Brussels Park back to Brussels-Central train station.
Brussels is very easy to reach by train.
You can get there by train at 01:30.
