Hiking
The building, built in 1898-1900, is the headquarters of the Robert Koch Institute. It was built by the Prussian state as an institute building for the Royal Prussian Institute for Infectious Diseases, founded in 1891, and is today a listed architectural monument. The historic building in the immediate vicinity of the Campus Virchow-Klinikum of the Charité houses research groups on HIV and bioinformatics, the administration, the library and the mausoleum for Robert Koch with a small museum that is open to the public.
