Hiking

The history of the castle is largely lost in the darkness of the Middle Ages. The castle in its current form developed from a wooden border fortress, which was necessary to secure the border between things and Bohemia. At that time the Pulsnitz was a border river. Over time, the owner, the appearance and the purpose of the castle have changed again and again. It has been privately owned since September 2001.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the ecumenical pilgrimage route VIA REGIA from Görlitz to Vacha, the architectural model building VIA REGIA Königsbrück recreated one of the historical pillars and set it up at the old location.
