House of City History Waiblingen

From Roman times to today: the permanent exhibition tells the diverse history of Waiblingen.

The "House of City History" reopened in May 2014 with a new concept after a renovation phase. The permanent exhibition presents the history of the city of Waiblingen from Roman times to the present day, with the focus on economic and local history. Living and working, departure and new paths are the focus. In addition, regular special exhibitions always present other topics related to the history of Waiblingen.
A multimedia animated city model provides unexpected insights into the history of Waiblingen. The captivating interplay of sound, images and movement guarantees an exciting historical experience.
In addition to the exhibits, the museum itself, as the oldest secular building in the city, is an impressive witness to Waiblingen's history. The "House of City History" is designed as a place with strong civic roots and is primarily intended to convey history to children and young people in a lively way.
