Alte Niedeck Memorial Stone

Almost nothing can be seen of the castle here - still a beautiful place. In some places hewn stones can still be seen. Pieces of roof tiles on the slopes too.

From the "Burg Alte Niedeck" is 388 m on the Kronenberg, not much to see. There is a memorial stone. View is also as good as none.
The ascent and descent to the Kronenberg is steep and can be reached on a narrow path. For my circumstances, surefootedness was necessary. At one point I slipped down on my "pants".

In the vicinity of Niedeck lies the early to medieval Hünsch Castle /
Niedeck. Probably a refuge for the farmyard that existed in the Middle Ages.
About 700 meters away is the Alte Niedeck in the area of Groß Lengden. This is the no longer existing successor castle to the Hünsch Castle.
