The baroque sandstone church in Eichtersheim was built in 1792 by Carl Philipp von Venningen (1728-1797). It replaced a previous building, which had stood in the same place since 1452. The church tower was renewed in 1886 because the original tower leaned too much towards the street. The oldest bell in the church dates from 1503 and has thus been preserved from the previous building.

The baroque castle church was built in 1782 by Carl Philipp von Venningen (1728–1797) and his wife Maria Anna von Hutten zu Stolzenberg († 1781). In it is the family crypt of the Lords of Venningen. The former Catholic church was originally dedicated to the Holy Cross and St. Gallus. A cartridge with the alliance coat of arms of the builders is attached above the portal. On the gable roof sits a turret with a French hood. Today the church is a secular building in which the artist Jürgen Goertz set up his studio.
