This is the way of the old mountain railway with wonderful signs. It leads to the excursion restaurant "Alte Bergbahn" to the Toelle-tower

Along the route there are explanations of this cog railway, which once ran from the Toelleturm to the center of Barmen. Would be a tourist magnet today, but it was dismantled at the time. If you go down the valley, the path ends halfway up with a small atrium. However, the train continued down the steep road "an der Bergbahn" to the power station.

"Barmer Bergbahn. This was a meter-gauge rack railway in Wuppertal-Barmen intended for public transport and existed from 1894 to 1959." (Wiki)
Six benches stand here in a semicircle on Emil-Röhring-Platz and invite you to linger and enjoy the view.
