From the forest path, a barely visible, overgrown path once led uphill to the former quarry, to the "dream lake". As in many abandoned quarries in the Fichtelgebirge, a dark lake has formed there, protected on the mountain side by a vertical granite wall, but freely accessible from the path. An insider tip for bathing in summer, artists have also found inspiration in the quiet place.
Unfortunately, the timber harvesters that dug deep into the forest floor and cleared the trees in 2022 have left their mark.
