First documented in 1356 as Reynbotengrün. Already referred to as Reymetngrün in 1499, which was fronte to Kirchenlamitz and with its 14 entire farms and 65 inhabitants was also a parish there.
Raumetengrün was always an agricultural settlement with successful farming and lively village life. Raumetengrün is a part of the municipality of Kirchenlamitz.
