    With a little imagination, traces of earlier agriculture can be seen on the forest floor. The terraces, crags and piles of stones remained, meanwhile overgrown by the 2nd or even 3rd generation of forests.

    300 years ago the entire area was cleared and at least the south side was used for self-sufficiency.

    A wonderful hiking trail, especially in the forest and then with a wonderful view of the lake and the Feldberg. In the lower area, i.e. directly on the lake, there are places for excursions to quench hunger and thirst.
