7.5 kilometers is the Schluchsee long. He is the largest lake in the Black Forest. Thanks to its altitude of 930 meters, the water in the reservoir is nice and cool even on hot summer days. In Seebrugg (easy to reach by train) there is even a dive center that offers equipment and tours.

The sea route is very good to walk completely, where the best way to travel between Schluchsee Ort and Seebrugg by train. Otherwise one can combine this and / or other parts perfectly with a navigation

A wonderful promenade stretches along the northeastern shore of the Schluchsee. The view extends across the lake to the opposite shore. If you like it even more natural, you can confidently run on the beach, which is no less sensible.

The path along the lake on the way back from the picture stone felt felt infinite. Numerous swimming areas invite you to swim. A few stone pillars line the beach.

The Schluchsee is definitely one of the highlights of the Schluchtensteig. Along the way you really have a great view of the lake from different perspectives.

The Schluchsee circular route is also highly recommended for families with prams. It is about 18 km around the entire reservoir.

Abbreviation option: train between Aha and Seebrück. The route Aha-Schluchsee is very nice on foot!

The sea route is u.a. a part of the Geniesserpfades "Jägersteig", he runs mostly directly on the lake, partly released only for pedestrians, but has places a little further away on the tracks. Road is well hidden behind bushes and trees, but can be heard. In the hot summer, however, the trees usually provide shade, the rest stops invite you to relax. Small bathing beaches are numerous along the way.

We are with the child almost all around on foot from Schluchsee to Aha and then a station by train because our feet are on strike. Gladly again, but then by train there and around by bike 😉
    It's nice, but also busy

A very beautiful lake in the Black Forest. Depending on the position of the sun, the other side is reflected in the lake.

Unlike on Lake Titisee, you are almost always right on (or steep bank above) the water. Regg sailboat traffic. And a ship that helps with four berths to shorten the tour if necessary (with rail connection to FR).
