Today we went to the treetop path near Ebrach in the beautiful Steigerwald in bright sunshine. Corona is also an issue here. The number of visitors is limited to 120 people per hour.
It's good to come early or book a time slot online. If you have left the path behind, the little ones can expect a children's playground and cuddly zoo. Unfortunately, the Corona cuddly zoo fell victim and was closed. 😷😟
Nevertheless, we continued towards the Steigerwald center past the bat path. Arrived at the center of Steigerwald, some sun loungers awaited us and we will use them for a long rest.
Then we follow the recommendation for the Brunnentalhof restaurant. There was no good Franconian food there. So we moved on to Cafe Lust. We really liked the latte macchiato and a cyclist, which we spent a while in the front yard before starting our way back. ☕🍺😋😊

Small hike in beautiful sunshine from Alzenau Castle along the Kahl up to the Hahnenkamm and Ludwigsturm.
The climb cost some sweat, but was finally rewarded with a cool cyclist and a great view from the Ludwigsturm.
The descent felt endless, where in the end the deer enclosure was a pleasant change. Not too far anymore and we were back at the starting point.

Today we were on the trail of James Bond and the golden egg, Späßle 😎
Or rather, a section on the Wittgenstein Forest Sculpture Trail in the Sauerland. The path has a total length of approx. 27 km with numerous works of art along the way from Bad Berleburg to Schmallenberg.

Unfortunately we did not see any European bison roaming free

The start was the Mörswiese and then we just went parallel to the Main along the Mainwanderweg towards Mainaschaff. Past a brooding pair of swans and the Main meadows. Shortly thereafter, this cockchafer was at my feet vor.
A short time later I reached the Aschaff estuary where I paused for a while and took some pictures. We continued towards Mainaschaff where a heron briefly kept me company.
After I had reached the Oescheffer anchor, I remembered the old days when this powerful turbine wheel still had its place elsewhere. When I had reached the railway bridge between Mainaschaff and Stockstadt, I have to take a detour due to construction sites. When I finally arrived on the opposite side, I quickly took the trains that passed the bridge.
We continued to the Mainparksee where an empty sandy beach became a photo opportunity. After I generously circled the lake I went back to the main hiking trail and back to the starting point.
