Hiking

The lime drifts of Willebadessen are a nature reserve in Willebadessen in the district of Höxter, which ensures the survival of the semi-dry grassland created by grazing sheep and goats. Outstanding features are the occurrence of more than 50 species of butterflies, in particular the very rare Kreuzenzian ant-blueing, as well as the presence of endangered gentian and orchid species. Through the "Butterfly Trail", an adventure trail of 3.5 km in length, the area is developed touristically.
