Hiking

The Großhesselohe railway station, originally called the Großhesselohe State Railway Station, was a station on the Munich–Holzkirchen railway line. It was built during the construction of the Bavarian Maximilian Railway. The Munich–Großhesselohe section of this line was opened in 1854. The surviving parts of the former station building date from around 1870. These are the two end buildings of the station; the platform hall that originally stood between them no longer exists. The building is a listed historical monument.

The building is a listed building, but unfortunately - like the entire surrounding area - is subject to increasing neglect.
