Since 1997, physician, researcher, and artist Claus-Frenz Claussen, known as the "Iron Sculptor of Eisenbühl," ran the Iron Park, a freely accessible open-air exhibition of 222 iron and steel sculptures, predominantly with a mythological theme. Claussen gave form to these heavyweights, weighing up to 14 tons. The park was expanded in 2001.
The Iron Park remains open even after Claussen's death in 2022.

It is often not known which highlights even exist in the surrounding area. Thanks to komoot you will be made aware of this. You have to see the iron park. Well ... Everyone can rate the naming and artistic interpretation for themselves, so I'm more of a cultural break. 😉I, as an old metal worker, was particularly impressed by the craftsmanship. This precision and at the same time extreme weight is absolutely brilliant. Hats off. 👍👍

Claussen's Iron Park Eisenbühl is a sculpture landscape with partly metallic, partly colored, generously dimensioned representations. The fantastic sculptures of the iron artist Prof. Claussen explore the limits of the senses and knowledge, they are myths and fairytales, ghosts, vision bearers and - of course! - Researchers between past and future.
