The Schwalbachtal at Schirradorf is one of many dry valleys with famine wells on the Frankenalb. Here the biker can find a multitude of amazing rock formations and karst phenomena directly on the valley path over a relatively short distance. This section of the path is especially worth seeing, as it includes not only many dolomite rocks but also the karst cave Klingelloch.

swallow stone. The Schwalbach spring rises under a large dolomite rock, the Schwalbenstein. It is a prophet's well, an indicator of the groundwater level. If it bubbles, it means a lot of water has flown through the karst rock from above.
