Anyone wanting to get a glimpse of Kasendorf and its surroundings should head to the Magnus Tower, which rises 498 meters south of the town on the Turmberg. Climb 68 steps up the spiral staircase and pass through the glass exit to the circular tower parapet. From here, you have a magnificent view of the town of Kasendorf and the Prelitz Mountains. On a clear day, the Franconian and Thuringian Forests form the horizon.

At the end of the 19th century, the Magnusturm, which was previously used as a watch tower, was given a relatively small, ground-level entrance door through which one can access the viewing platform protected by a glass structure via an internal metal spiral staircase. Here you have a good view over Kasendorf to the Main Valley and Plassenburg in Kulmbach as well as the plateaus of Franconian Switzerland.
