If you walk up the mountain road to Hasseberg (or down from Lauseberg towards the town center), you will pass Tilly's Table. Nowadays, it stands somewhat hidden in a residential area under the canopy of old trees. In 1626, Count Tilly is said to have directed the Battle of Lutter am Barenberge from this massive stone table before ordering parts of Seesen to be plundered and burned.
