On the occasion of a brewery, I can't resist - now from a purely literary point of view - and I have to briefly mention the humorist Heinz Erhardt (1909 - 1979), who I admire and who was known to a wide audience for his word jokes and "Noch'n poem". quote with one of his – very rare – rhymes:
"The four-legged friend only drinks water,
      people find beer finer.”
      (H.Erhardt)

        The history:
Family-owned for four generations, the brewery was founded in 1900 as "Adler Brauerei GmbH" and on September 5, 1900 the first beer produced in Bielstein left the brewery. "Born out of necessity" - this phrase literally applies to the founding of the Erzquell brewery more than 100 years ago.
The spinning and tearing works of Ernst Kind and his brother-in-law Karl Kattwinkel ran into financial difficulties at the end of the 19th century. Despite his 50 years, Ernst Kind dared to make a fresh start. With the available reserves, he converted the factory into a brewery.
Kind learned the art of brewing beer at the Bavarian brewing school in Weihenstephan. He hired his future nephew Fritz Ehrlicher as master brewer. In order to bring spring water to the brewery, a water pipe several kilometers long first had to be built. The Wiehltalbahn, founded in 1897, was ideal for getting the necessary raw materials delivered, while at the same time the beer could be transported away.
On September 5, 1900, the first beer from the Adler-Brauerei GmbH - as it was then called - left the brewhouse in Bielstein. 15,000 hectoliters of beer were brewed in the founding year, twice as much beer in 1913.
