Before the villages and farmsteads merged to form Bielstein, Repschenroth was the central village. The small town grew up around the old Repschenroth mill, which lies in the corner of Bechbach and the Wiehl. The Repschenroth mill is already listed in a historical map from 1575. However, the area was settled much earlier: on the castle hill there is a listed refuge castle, an early Germanic ring wall.
