The Krassach spring is located roughly in the middle of the Bärental, about 300 meters south of the Herbstmühle. It emerges as a layer spring in several small, merging springs directly at the foot of the eastern slope flank of the Bärental and is largely close to nature. The source is fed by a small underground stream, which initially disappears as a stream shrinkage in the rear part of the Bärental.
