The Herbstmühle in Bärental used to be called Wunkendorfer Mühle because the residents of Wunkendorf and Neudorf had their grain ground here. In addition, in times when there was no water supply on the Jura, they fetched their drinking water from the mill, which had to be transported on the arduous route up to the villages.
