Herbstmühle Historic Mill

The Herbstmühle in Bärental used to be called Wunkendorfer Mühle because the residents of Wunkendorf and Neudorf had their grain ground here. In addition, in times when there was no water supply on the Jura, they fetched their drinking water from the mill, which had to be transported on the arduous route up to the villages. Historic grain mill with mill technology that has been preserved as a historical monument, but a turbine instead of a paddle wheel since around 1910. Designed as a small museum. Extremely beautiful location in Bärental. Small fish ponds next to it, drinks bar with beer benches on sunny days or when someone is at home.

Wonderfully located in the Bärental. Beer tent sets were at the door. But it did not make any impression on me that this was an open-air restaurant.
