Hiking Highlight (Segment)
The area along the Steinbach was formerly cultivated as spruce forest, the brook itself was used for the trift of the tribes and expanded, which is still clearly recognizable in many places today. In the meantime, the valley has become a diversified habitat through renaturation measures, especially through larger open areas, wet meadows and swamps. A really varied way (free-roaming dogs have there, in the core zone of the National Park, but nothing lost!).
