Unterleiterbach Castle is a striking building in Unterleiterbach, a district of Zapfendorf in Upper Franconia.
Susanne Elisabeth Countess von Brockdorff had the palace built between 1737 and 1739 as a dowry for her daughter.
This, Susanna Sophia Amalia, married von Hanxleden zu Delicke, shared the property with her brother, Count Lorenz Ernst Friedrich Brockdorff (1710-1753), who also owned Schney Castle.
After the sale of Hanxleben's half in 1792, there were disputes with the purchaser, Baron von Schaumberg, until his half was finally taken over by the Brockdorff family.
It was sold within the family and finally sold in 1846 to Henry Sturz from Zweibrücken, who was soon knighted.
His widow sold the castle in 1852 to a consortium of twelve residents of Unterleiterbach.
It is a plastered building with sandstone structures, which was planned by the Bamberg court master builder Justus Heinrich Dientzenhofer.
The castle has been owned by the Heiss family since 1956.
In 1976 an antique shop was established in the building.
There are also hotel rooms there.(Source: Wikipedia)

The stately, two-storey Rococo castle in Unterleiterbach was built in 1737-1739 by the Bamberg court architect Justus Heinrich Dientzenhofer. The castle is privately owned and can be partially visited on special occasions (art exhibition, Christmas market).
