Rosentalbach Levada? Before many hikes we coined the name Levada because the creek is walled here like the irrigation systems on Madeira. The path leads through dense vegetation very close to the walled Rosentalbach. An almost Mediterranean mood arises.
On the other side lurks the golf course.

A beautiful section of the path, sloping down to the Rosentalbach; the Rosentalbach (Hesperbach) is a left tributary of the Hesperbach near Heidhausen.
The Hesperbach, on the other hand, is an 8 km long tributary of the Ruhr and is one of the oldest industrial areas in Germany. Mills and hammer mills were operated here for centuries and the Hesperbachtal was also one of the early mining areas for Ruhr coal.

A great hiking trail by the stream - I like this route of the Bergisches Weg very much! Lots of nature and no "forest highways"! 👏
