Starting at the town hall park on Dämeritzsee and Friedrichstraße (pier for the liner shipping about 10 minutes away) you can walk down the Brettersche Graben to the Spree and its meadows.
The Brettersche Graben was excavated in 1752 at the time of the Friderizian inland colonization and is part of the former floodplain area of the Spree. With the exception of a few sandy ridges, the meadow area is on a low moor.
The distance is about 2 km. Shelters and benches offer you the opportunity to enjoy the landscape during a break.
