Hiking Highlight (Segment)
The name comes from a legend, according to which a noblewoman was unfaithful to her crusading husband and knight and gave birth to seven - all small, pale and unattractive. In her distress, she ordered her maid to drown the children. On the way to action, however, the maid met the knight, who gave the children in the care of friendly damsels, where the children were educated. When the children were seven, the knight had them tell their story at a big party at his castle. When asked what kind of punishment such a mother deserves, the noblewoman is said to have demanded "to become water and bread". Then the knight executed on him the punishment demanded of his wife against herself. After some time, he is said to have diverted the Gottschlaebbach into his wife's prison to release her from her agony.

The waterfalls at the Edelfrauengrab near Ottenhöfen have a height of 44 meters. The hiking trail is secured and leads up stairs to the waterfalls.
Passing the waterfalls, the hiker comes to a scouring cave. The legend says that an unfaithful noblewoman found her violent end here.

Unfortunately, the paths sometimes a bit neglected. If you're planning on Komoot over town the program leads to a slope way just above the actual cases. From the Ottenhöfener side this way is blocked (slope demolition danger to life, so keep it in. Is also a grid in front of it.). From above I have not seen any blocking.
