The water was originally supplied via a one-kilometer-long canal from the Acher and a water wheel forty meters below the courtyard. The mill was then transmitted (driven) via a 200 m long wire rope which was connected to the drive pulley of the wheel.

Due to water law constraints, the bike had to be shut down and expanded in 1922. The mill was then driven by an electric motor, later from around 1975 by a tractor.
