Hiking

The small and large pond used to form a unit and were created by damming the local stream (blue flood). Later it was separated by a dam. The large pond has an area of 10 hectares, in the middle there is an artificially created island which was used for the amusement of the court. In 1925 a bridge was built to replace the ferry traffic. Today the Inselzoo, Thuringia's most beautiful zoo, is located here.
