The Papenmühle stands next to the Papenteich. The building itself was never a mill. Built in 1875, it became a hotel with a restaurant in 1905, later a hospital and now a residential building.
The building fits in well with the overall ensemble and is a real eye-catcher. The whole pond with the mill looks sooooo peaceful. Simply beautiful.

Hiking

The Papenmühle, built as a house in the classical style, stands in the middle of the spa park right next to the Papenteich. The building itself was never a mill, but was built next to the mill on Papenteich, which had existed since the 15th century. In 1875 the Papenmühle was built as a magnificent villa. From 1905 a hotel with a restaurant was located in the building, later it served as a hospital. Today five tenants live in the renovated Papenmühle.
