The name "Blauer Aff" was created in the 1930s. Until then it was called "Zum Rebstock" and was given its current name by holidaymakers from the Cologne area who stayed in Auerbach because of the "Strength through Joy" movement.
In the Rhineland, the term "Aff" means "drunk". Since the half-timbered house was painted blue and all the guests were "blue", it was given the current name "Blauer Aff".

Very well attended economy. Good food and small beer garden in the back

The economy is striking in any case - funny design - all in blue and with the monkey! Unfortunately refrained from a stop.
