Planten un Blomen is a 47 hectare park in the center of Hamburg. The name is in Low German meaning "plants and flowers". One of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen. The facility is just a dream. At the exit of the TV tower there is delicious ice cream and you can sit beautifully by the pond. Spacious with water fountains and a small river. The rose garden has many different varieties with a nice fragrance. Belongs to a visit to Hamburg necessarily

This part of the park received its current name on the occasion of the Low German Garden Show ›Planten un Blomen‹ in 1935, when the area was transformed into a park by the well-known Hamburg garden architect Karl Plomin. The International Garden Exhibitions (IGA) in 1953, 1963 and 1973 changed the face of the complex considerably. After the last IGA, the Planten un Blomen, Old Botanical Garden, Small Wallanlagen and Large Wallanlagen areas were combined to form the Wallringpark. In 1986, the entire complex was officially given the traditional name Planten un Blomen. It is a wonderful place to walk between Millerntor and the Congress Center!
