The Königswarterstraße together with the Hornschuch Promenade is the prime example of the "Belle Époque" in Fürth. This unique ensemble was built between 1883 and 1904 on the right and left of the Ludwigsbahn. Dr. phil. Wilhelm Königswarter (born March 4, 1809 in Fürth, Königstrasse 86; died May 15, 1887 in Merano) was a Fürth banker, generous founder and honorary citizen.
