One of the largest and one of the most beautiful brick Gothic buildings. The tower, which is 117.5 meters high, can be climbed over 220 steps and offers a beautiful panoramic view. The 50 centimeters make it the tallest tower in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It was completed in 1893, much later than the cathedral nave. The beginnings of church building go back to 1154.

Almost exactly a year has passed and we visited the cathedral again.
The restoration work has made great progress. The Cornelius window has now also been restored. We're still working on the ducal graves, but progress can already be seen there too.

The cathedral in the brick Gothic style is definitely worth seeing. The tower can be climbed. After 220 steps you have a wonderful panoramic view of the city and castle.
