You think what an important building that is ... it's just the junk building. :-)

The building on the market, decorated with 14 Doric columns, is a real eye-catcher.
But anyone who thinks that the people of Schwerin pay tribute to this is mistaken. They simply refer to it as the market stall building.
Officially, however, it is called the "New Building". Which is of course just as surprising.
The building was actually new once - but in 1785. It was opened as a market hall to replace the market stalls on the market. But that didn't last long. Soon the market stalls were back on the market. And they are now every Saturday, while the market hall is now a café. quermania.de/mecklenburg-vorpommern/schwerin/schwerin7.php
