An alternative to Teufelsbadsteig, not so strenuous throughout A and B in summer and in dry weather a climbing harness is not absolutely necessary, as there are many ladders and well insured, if there is a lot going on, a helmet does not harm as stones are easily kicked off. A 200 kilo chunk came down on our tour, so a helmet doesn't help anymore ... ;-)

Is it a via ferrata or a hiking trail? One does not know. Sure-footedness, a head for heights and good mountain fitness are required here. Helmet and gloves too, I'd say with the via ferrata set: it doesn't hurt, but 90% of the way it's not needed.
