Hiking

The Rax plateau is an extensive high plateau at around 1,500 to 2,000 meters above sea level and shapes the landscape of the Vienna Alps with open alpine meadows, karst areas, and striking rock faces. Numerous trails connect huts, summits, and viewpoints, making the plateau a versatile hiking area. The mix of alpine expanse and well-developed infrastructure gives the Rax its special character.
