Very impressive fountain on the Bürgerwiese. The three figures, grace, cheerfulness and seriousness represent Mozart's music through their dance.

The Mozart Fountain was created in 1907 in Art Nouveau style by the Berlin sculptor Hermann Hosaeus. The three gilded bronze figures “Grace”, “Hilarity” and “Seriousness” move symbolically in Mozart's time. When strolling through the park, we also pass the artificial pond with a fountain, which was created in 1861 and which is fed with water from the Kaitzbach via the Zierbach. After crossing Blüherstrasse, the simple nymph fountain "Die Badende" made of white marble awaits us.

Well-groomed art in the well-kept garden. Very pretty to look at in any season. Thanks for the tip.

This Mozart fountain is under monument protection.
The fountain consists of two parts. A small column made of Tyrolean marble stands on a round sandstone pedestal like an altar. The name "Mozart" is written in gold letters on the front, bordered with tendrils. Three larger-than-life bronze female figures, covered with gold leaf, are dancing around the altar. They symbolize the deep, devoutly pious seriousness, the graceful grace and the sunny, laughing cheerfulness and are intended to embody the essence of Mozart's music.

The monument designed as a fountain dates from 1907 and was donated by the Dresden Mozart Association. It shows three gilded Graces dancing around an altar. These figures are intended to embody the grace, seriousness and cheerfulness of Mozart's music, but the artist himself was not depicted. Creator was the Berlin sculptor Hermann Hosaeus (1875-1958).

The fountain with 3 gilded bronze figures was handed over in 1907. It was badly destroyed in 1945 and then fell into disrepair. In 1991 the 3 figures were put up again. The fountain was built in honor of Mozart, although he only stayed once in Dresden in 1789.

At this point / I would like to quickly / say something about the source
(whereby it corresponds to the art of poetry / if this 'source' is a 'well'):
To quote the incomparable humorist Heinz Erhardt (1909 - 1979), who was known to a wide audience for his word jokes and "Noch'n poem", with a short quatrain:
"There is certainly much beauty in
on the element, the wet.
Because you can drink the water.
But you can - also leave it."
(H.Erhardt)
