The Biesdorfer Höhe is a product of the last ice age. It originated around 10,000 years ago and was only about 46 meters high at the time. One of the numerous windmills that were erected on the glacier edge of the Berlin glacial valley stood here until the 18th century. The Biesdorfer Höhe was called Mühlenberg at the time.
Deposits of rubble and debris over the past centuries have increased the height of the mountain to today's 82 meters. Today you walk through a wonderful green area with oak, ash, hawthorn and poplar.
