The Biesdorfer Höhe is a product of the last Ice Age. It was formed around 10,000 years ago and was only around 46 meters high at the time. Up until the 18th century, one of the numerous windmills that were built on the glacier edge of the Berlin glacial valley stood here. At that time, the Biesdorferhöhe was called Mühlenberg.
