Very alpine, exposed trail with a view over the whole of Liechtenstein. Surefootedness and vertigo should be part of the game.

  • A terrific tour with fantastic views through rugged, wild, gray rock. The whole way is very well secured and maintained, but you should be sure-footed and free from giddiness. In some places the path is very narrow and partly exposed, but always secured.

  • The Fürstensteig is a spectacular mountain hiking trail from Gaflei high to the saddle of the 3-sisters massif. The climb looks like it was hit in the mountain with a jackhammer.Absolutely worth seeing in every way!

  • Really great climb. If you do not see every day, definitely a highlight

  • For the Fürstensteig (is a T3 way) you should be free from giddiness and sure-footed. Although the route is well maintained and some passages have been stabilized by concrete steps and woods, etc., and made better accessible, but he already has some quite narrow passages and the abyss is steep. But it is a fascinating path that is beautifully carved into the rock and you can enjoy a very beautiful view of the Reinthal up to Alpstein.
In the morning, the section is in the shade, which is not necessarily a disadvantage, especially when it's hot. The path can be integrated into various circular walks or you can continue to the Three Sisters in the direction of Gafadurahütte and Planken.

  • The Fürstensteig is an alpine hiking trail through the northwest face of the Alpspitz (1942 m above sea level) in Liechtenstein. The path carved into the rock face was opened in 1898.
The exposed, well-secured, narrow mountain path (level of difficulty T3) that can be walked on by hikers begins above the hamlet of Gaflei in Triesenberg and ends at the Gafleisattel (1,853 m above sea level).
In 1898, Carl Schädler was mainly responsible for the construction of the Fürstensteig, paid for by Prince Johann II, and he financed the stretch from the Gafleisattel to the Kuhgratspitze and other mountain trails out of his own pocket.
