Off into the snow! 🙂 wonderful winter landscape at Bödele
with a cozy group on the edge of the family slope, along the ridge to the summit 🏔️
Clouds, sun, a little snow flurry alternated
Then it's back across country to the winter hiking trail and the starting pointThe massif of the Hochälpelekopf belongs to the northern Vorarlberg flysch zone and consists mainly of sandstone -
rock that is not very permeable to water also marks the swamp forests that follow to the south
In this area there are wonderful raised bogs 🙂

from Bregenz via Kennelbach and as a highlight the"River & Forest" hikea little bit along the Wälderbahntrasse, soon left
Steep, very narrow hairpin bends take you through the forest, very slippery when wet
via the Hohe Wacht Weg back to Bregenzgood footwear, surefootedness required, as some sections of the path can be compared to an alpine climb. During or after long rains it is not advisable to walk the path

a fantastic geotope where you could linger for hours
again steeply up over many steps through a beautiful forest in serpentines
      it goes on to
      "Hündlekopf 1111m"
it represents the end and highlight of a side chain of the Prodelkamm. Its rock, like that of all the surrounding mountain ranges and individual elevations, is piled up with Nagelfluh, which is interspersed with gravel banks and marl layers
back over a ridge (grass hump) through a small forest
from there along the forest path,
the last few meters on the main road to the starting point

    1. Andrea

start in Neef from there to Bremm start of the Calmont via ferrataGood footwear, sure-footedness and a head for heights are absolutely necessarybut first steeply uphill
      Calmont summit cross
      (the same way back)

      The Calmont, also Calmond
called, between Bremm and Ediger-Eller in the district of Cochem-Zell, Rhineland-Palatinate is a steeply rising above the Moselle, a maximum of 380.6 m NHN marginal range of the Moselle valley. It is located in the Mosel wine-growing region and has two individual vineyards, the Bremmer Calmont and the Ellerer Calmont, which, with slopes up to 65 degrees, are among the steepest locations on earth
It is fantastic in the steep vineyard with small climbs (ladder and rope insurance) along the ridge from Bremm to Eller
of course the fear of death is also part of (rock ledge with a flag)
from there it went to Eller and along the Moselle back to the starting point in Neef

from Mülheim we went over the Moselle to Lieser
      past the
      Lieser Castle
it is a castle built in the style of historicism in the wine village of the same name Lieser on the Moselle near Bernkastel-Kues, on the opposite bank of Mülheim. Alongside the parish church of St. Peter, it is the most striking building in the town and has been a listed building since 1981
Today it is a LUXURY HOTEL !!!
along the Moselle at the district of Kues we cross the Moselle again, after lingering in Bernkastel we went back to Mülheim on the Moselle
