The Arentshain pond and the area in the deep Eifgenwald with water bodies, bridges, refuge, benches, water wheel and secured hiking trails must be maintained every year.
Unfortunately, this also includes collecting the legacies (empty beer cans, drinks bottles, leftover food and paper waste) of many hikers and mountain bikers around the refuge. It's a shame that many of the passers-by show so little consideration.
