Best Hikes to Große Zeterklippe (HWN 010)
Tips
  • Lothar R. outdoor

The Zeterklippen are a frequently visited destination on the Brocken massif. The Zeterklippe can be climbed via a ladder and offers a wonderful view of the Brocken summit, the Hohnekamm and the Leistenklippe. In the immediate vicinity is also the stamp office 10 of the Harzer hiking nobility. Unique and an absolute highlight is the vegetation around the Zeterklippen!

  • The Zeterklippen are striking rock formations on the Rennekenberg above the Ilsetal. They are located directly in the Harz National Park and may only be visited on the marked hiking trails.

  • One of the most beautiful cliffs in the Harz Mountains, with a panoramic view of the Brocken and the spruce desert.

  • Be sure to take all the cliffs of the Zeterreihe with you. Large, medium and small please be careful. You should have good surefootedness and pay close attention to the narrow paths. Please only experienced ;-)

  • My absolute highlight on this day and worth seeing. If you just come here to stamp and not enjoy the view up on the cliffs, you have actually missed something.

  • You just have to stay there. Honestly, I didn't want to leave. You come up the stairs and the chunk appears at eye level. Incredible. I can't get out of the swarms anymore.

  • Interesting rocks with beautiful views off the main trails,
very romantic paths through secluded spruce forests with rocks (Felsenmeer)

  • A must in the Harz National Park. Nice view with cliff flair. Quietly visit the middle and small Zeterklippe. Surefootedness and a little bit of navigation art are required there. Not for everyone. And please always remember that nature has priority.

  • Beautiful cliff from which you can overlook large parts of the northern Harz in good weather. Nice view to Brocken. Skill and good basic condition are required.

  • The Forstmeister-Sietz-Weg, from Molkenhausstern, is currently completely closed. So I didn't come to the cedar cliffs today. Not even from the other side.

  • Very beautiful paths, some far away from the resin typical "forest highways". Impressive as a beetle population has destroyed essential parts of the flora.

  • Great view and great alternative to the Brocken. Very nice silent paths to the cliff but also demanding.

  • A dream this cliff. Not accessible to anyone. Easy climbing is necessary and the way there very alpine. It is careful, especially in bad weather conditions.

  • A bit off the main roads beautifully located. In any case, you should not only make the stamp in the notebook but also always climb the cliff by stairs and enjoy the view (if available)
