Drive to the "Apple Festival" harvest market in the Asse with the Asse-Bummler
followed by a partly guided hike.
      Organizers:
      Asse local and tourist association
VBV Association of Braunschweiger Verkehrsfreunde e.V
A different kind of outdoor experience!
Romantic train journey with the Assebummler from Braunschweig to Wittmar in the Asse with the steam locomotive "Braunschweig".
Some "highlights" are only up-to-date in connection with this tour carried out by the Braunschweiger Verkehrsfreunde e.V. association.
E.g. a tour through the orchards, with plenty of explanations about the promotion by the country and the associated work of the volunteers who have made the area as you can find it today, respect!
The small autumn market, which was smaller than usual due to the currently known pandemic, was also current.

The bee is still symbolic of the sugar factory in Schöppenstedt that was located at the time.
Today there are grocery stores, medical centers, pharmacies ... with a large enough parking space in this industrial area and therefore an ideal starting point for this bike tour.
      The tour route:
From Schöppenstedt via Schliessstedt, Warle, Watzum, Barnstorf, Winnigstedt to the former inner-German border BRD / GDR.
The return tour took place along the rift valley between Matierzoll and Rocklum (Großer Bruch), Semmenstedt, Klein Vahlberg, Großvahlberg, Bansleben, Schöppenstedt
      Tour distance approx. 49 kilometers

The starting point of the tour is right at the Menschentrappe car park near the village of Neudorf.
From here it goes to the steel source, stamping point of the Harz hiking needle HWN 193, on to the gondola pond, through the town of Neudorf past the pear tree pond to the stamping point HWN 194 Hellergrund and on to the visitor mine Grube Glasebach at the stamping point HWN 175. The hike takes you back to the parking lot via the mining trail Direction Neudorf.
In addition to the normal stamp for the hiking pass, the Steiger hiking pass can also be stamped at all stamping points, if available.
The tour is quite pleasant to hike despite a distance of around 17 kilometers.

From the village of Ohrum, the tour leads along the Oker through stretches of stretches that sometimes seem enchanting and very beautiful trails in the middle of nature to the Kaiserpfalz / Werlaburg and further along the Oker river to the Harz suburb of Schladen with a visit to the interesting domain at Lindendamm and the old water mill . The tour then continues in the direction of Hornburg, Bornum, the village of Pillowbrück with the noteworthy local church and finally after 38 kilometers of the finish in Ohrum.

The holiday resort of Horumersiel on the North Sea. Admittedly, it was a small round and a complete assessment of the place is not given here.
Surely also on my part about the absolute disappointment of the beach section, which is actually not, but a concrete promenade, to read on signs:
chargeable beach section (should be called chargeable concrete section!) So if you want to come here with children and dig in the sand ... you should better look for a domicile in Horumersiel-Schillig.
Otherwise, the place makes a well-kept impression, although the "pulsating" action, restaurants and shops ... mainly take place on the short but nicely designed Goldstrasse. Because of this amusement mile, which has moved closer together, the Goldstrasse quickly looks quite crowded. My visit on 01-09-2020, keep the minimum distance, not possible!

The Aper Tief is a river in the municipality of Apen. Coming from the east, it flows through the Hengstforde, Vreschen-Bokel and Holtgast farms to merge into the Jümme. Two retention areas were formed along the river, the freshwater mudflats and the floodplain. Due to the connection to the North Sea, ebb and flow are noticeable here with a tide range of 60 to 120cm.

Exhausting, but happy at the finish.
Bike tour from Jade Busen / North Sea to Ammerland to Bad Zwischenahn (always uphill, and of course plenty of headwind).
