The Pferdeberg Tower is a 14 m high landmark on the Pferdeberg. It was built in 1984 by the city of Duderstadt. It was used to observe the nearby border with the former GDR. It was also used by the Federal Border Police. From here you have a particularly beautiful view of the Obereichsfeld, Duderstadt and the Harz Mountains as far as the Brocken.

According to the information board, the horse mountain tower was built in 1984 on the initiative of the city of Duderstadt together with the state of Lower Saxony. The Pferdeberg Tower is an outstanding point on the Grenzlandweg, not least for the inhabitants of the entire Eichsfeld, with its view over the former restricted area as a symbol of freedom and unity.
