The Holzschlägermatte does indeed offer a great view - actually almost more beautiful than at the Schauinsland Pass, where a lot of forest blocks the view. However, you are already well over half of the ascent here - the Holzschlägermatte is at 1,000 meters - 550 meters from Bohrer are behind you, almost 200 are still to be climbed.
